Dr. David Corderman
Academy Leadership Associates, LLC
David S. Corderman, PhD is an internationally recognized leadership training professional who is a Senior Partner of Academy Leadership Associates, LLC. His career includes four years as an infantry officer in the U.S.M.C and twenty-four in the FBI as a special agent. During his law enforcement tenure he served for eight and half years on the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team, taught numerous law enforcement leaders, and retired as the Chief of the FBI’s Leadership Development Institute. Dr. Corderman lectures frequently on a variety of leadership topics and holds several key leadership positions including being the Associate Executive Director of the Major County Sheriffs’ Association, the Associate Executive Director of the Leadership in Counter Terrorism Alumni Association, serves on the Board of the National Executive Institute Associates and the Richmond, Virginia Families of the Wounded Fund. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Greater Fredericksburg Region Families of the Wounded Fund. In 2011 Dr. Corderman was the co-author of a book titled, Leading to Make a Difference––Ethical, Character Driven Law Enforcement.
Dr. Corderman is the recipient of several awards for bravery and merit either individually or with others including the U.S. Attorney General's Award, the Attorney General's Special Appreciation Award, the FBI Agents Association Award for Excellence, the FBI's Shield of Bravery, the FBI's Medal of Merit, and Department of Justice Certificate of Special Recognition.
