The program will feature some of the seminar?s best-beloved speakers of the past as well as a special performance by popular humorist Steve Kissell during lunch. Conference registrants will have the opportunity to attend several educational workshops which will feature new information and materials on employment law. For 30 years, the Kaufman & Canoles Employment Law Update has met the training needs of employers through the state. Representatives from key employment agencies in the region will participate and be on hand to answer any and all employment law questions, in addition to the K&C labor and employment team. Sparks, Jr. is an attorney in the firm?s Richmond office whose practice concentrates on employment litigation, representing employers in employment discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of employment contract, non-compete, and wage and hour claims. The University of Mary Washington and the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce are committed to helping the Region’s business community grow and thrive. The UMW Center for Economic Development, the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the UMW College of Business are proud to present a year-long seminar series that will go back to the basics. Each seminar will be taught by one of UMW’s expert faculty and will provide attendees with a well-rounded education on the most important business topics. UMW’s College of Business focuses on “engaged learning” and each seminar will follow that philosophy.
