Gauging the Knowledge Economy
A knowledge economy continually increases the production and consumption of knowledge and intellectual capital. A city that experiences sustained high levels of production and consumption of intellectual capital is referred to as a thriving knowledge city. FredTech and Innovation welcomes Dr. Denise Bedford, Goodyear Professor at Kent State University, Information Architecture and Knowledge Management, to discuss her research to develop and implement a knowledge index to track the maturity of knowledge cities, and Fredericksburg’s potential as a thriving knowledge city.

Co-Founder Evan Hirsche On How The Smartphone Revolution Can Help Reconnect People with Nature

 

Environmental and conservation consulting firm Marstel-Day announced today that the next speaker in its Wildlife Conservation Awareness Campaign series will be Evan Hirsche, co-founder of Discover Nature Apps, who will talk about how the smartphone revolution could be key to reconnecting America's technology-centered public to nature. The talk will be held Thursday, March 19th, 2015 from noon to 1:30 p.m. EDT at Marstel-Day's Fredericksburg, VA headquarters (513 Prince Edward Street).  People interested in attending can register by emailing Michelle Alford at Malford@Marstel-Day.com
