DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) will host the inaugural Holiday Market\, FAM Faire in the historic Market Square. This event will be a spectacular outdoor shopping experience in one of the most beautiful parts of our notable town. FAM Faire will take place December 8th 2018 from 10 am to 9 pm. These traditional German-style markets are based on the holiday tradition that began in Nuremberg\, Germany\, dating from the 16th century. Our holiday market will include vendors selling traditional crafts and foods. It is the perfect environment to invoke the holiday spirit while friends\, families and neighbors stroll along tents filled with gifts and treats. Spices from mulled wine\, roasted almonds waft through the air\, and live music and carolers wander about while shoppers fill their mugs with hot chocolate and German beer.
