DESCRIPTION:The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation will hold two showings of Stanley Kubrick's Oscar nominated film "Full Metal Jacket" on the giant screen at the National Museum of the Marine Corps' Medal of Honor Theater on Saturday\, March 2 and Saturday\, April 6 at 11:00 AM. Adapted from the novel "The Short-Timers\," the movie first follows a platoon of Marines through their boot camp experience under the command of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman (R. The story continues as Private Joker (Matthew Modine)\, one of the recruits\, covers the war as a correspondent for Stars and Stripes\, focusing on the Tet Offensive.
