DESCRIPTION:The Women and Girls Fund of The Community Foundation has engaged the Political Institute for Women to present a one-day Girls in Politics workshop that will educate\, involve and inspire local girls to be outstanding leaders.\n\nThis full-day workshop on Saturday\, October 20\, 2018 is appropriate for any area girl age 10-15 who is interested in understanding the US government and improving her leadership skills.\n\nThe workshop cost of $60 includes an acclaimed training program\, lunch and a t-shirt.\n\nFood restrictions: No nuts or pork are served at this workshop. Participants with gluten sensitivity will need to provide their own meal/snacks. Please contact the foundation with any questions.\n\nGirl Scouts: Citizen Legacy badges are available for Juniors\, Cadets and Seniors: Inside Government\, Finding Common Ground\, Behind the Ballot.
