DESCRIPTION:Take advantage of local history resources to stimulate student interest in social studies by bringing the past to life and connecting students with the rich heritage of their community. This hands-on workshop will explore the use of primary sources\, historic photographs and maps and documents to teach history across the curriculum. This course will include a visit to Historic Kenmore\, the Fredericksburg home of revolutionary war patriots Fielding and Betty Washington Lewis.
