SUMMARY:The Hon. Nicole Cole's 2nd Annual Event: Juneteenth Jubilee
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Jubilee\, hosted by The Honorable Nicole Cole\, SCPS School Board Member (Battlefield District)\, in support of the nonprofit Pathways to Success Foundation (501c3)! As we commemorate Juneteenth\, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States\, we invite you to join us in honoring its significance and celebrating our journey towards freedom and equality. Juneteenth\, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day\, marks the day when enslaved people in Texas finally received news of their freedom on June 19\, 1865\, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It's a day of remembrance\, reflection\, and celebration of African American history and culture. The Juneteenth Jubilee is more than just a celebration\; it's a gathering of community advocates dedicated to the mission of PTSF\, which is to support higher education pursuits and strengthen education advocacy in our communities. Join us on this special day for featured comedy performances\, live music\, delicious food\, and scholarship awards. Let's come together to celebrate our past\, embrace our present\, and envision a brighter future for all. See you there!
