DESCRIPTION:The Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP) is a workforce development accelerator that provides students and businesses with resources to optimize the mutual benefits of work-based learning. Our local V-TOP representative\, the Rappahannock Work and Learn Collaborative\, is offering a free\, half-day workshop designed to help organizations learn how to develop high-quality\, mutually beneficial internship experiences\, satisfy the training prerequisite to qualify for state-funded support for creating or expanding an internship program\, and network over lunch. This workshop will be most beneficial for organizations in GO Virginia Region 6 (Fredericksburg\, Middle Peninsula\, and Northern Neck areas) that are registered with the State Corporation Commission\, have been in business for 3 or more years (or\, if less\, mentored/incubated by a recognized entity)\, have fewer than 250 employees\, and are not government agencies.
