AHA Basic Life Support Instructor Class

Description

The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course prepares healthcare professionals to effectively teach and evaluate students in AHA BLS Provider courses. This comprehensive instructor development program focuses on adult learning principles, effective presentation techniques, classroom management strategies, and the proper use of AHA course materials and resources.

Participants will learn how to conduct BLS Provider courses, facilitate skills practice sessions, administer written examinations, and perform objective skills evaluations in accordance with current AHA guidelines and program standards. The course also covers Training Center policies, instructor responsibilities, course documentation requirements, and strategies for providing constructive feedback to learners. Upon successful completion, candidates will be eligible to teach AHA BLS Provider courses under the guidance of their affiliated AHA Training Center.
