Ellen Meinhart
International Trade Manager - Northern Region
Ellen Meinhart is an international trade manager for the Northern Virginia office, where her mission is to assist companies with increasing their sales revenue through exporting.
Ellen’s career and education has focused on international sales, business development and marketing. She has lived, worked and/or studied in Germany, France, Australia and Brazil, in addition to successfully completing projects involving China, Egypt, Chile, England and Canada. Ellen has an M.B.A. in marketing and international business fromWright State University and a B.S. in marketing fromMiami University.
For the past five years, Ellen ran Starting Gate Global, an outsourced business development company that increased sales for international companies entering the U.S. market. Prior to that, she lived in Australia for three years and launched a Microsoft/ Australian Capital Territory-funded information industry initiative called Canberra.NET. She has also worked in the exporting departments of two manufacturers, Krauss Metalworks and Sonax, located in Germany, as well as for IBM and NCR.
Bryan K. Moody
Defense Program Manager
Bryan Moody serves as Defense Program Manager for VEDP’s Global Defense Program (GDP), supporting Virginia defense companies in the pursuit of global trade opportunities from his office in Fredericksburg, VA.
Experience
Prior to joining VEDP, Moody served as International Business Developer and Compliance Officer for two Virginia defense companies, shepherding them through VEDP’s Global Defense and VALET Programs. Moody served 25 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and speaks multiple languages, including Arabic, Hebrew and Spanish.
