Description
Dust off your sneakers and sign up for the Downtown Mile for CASA Virtual Challenge, which runs from June 1 to Sept. 7, 2024, when the in-person race will wind its way through downtown Fredericksburg. There are 3 ways to compete in the Virtual Challenge:
1. Be the team to sign up the most participants. Don't have a team to join? Join ours: Step Up for CASA Kids
2. Be the team with the most social media posts and pics featuring the hashtag #dtm4casa
3. Join one of three downtown coffee shop teams competing based on mileage. You'll see flyers with QR codes at The Italian Station (Team Pay It Forward), Curitiba and Hyperion.
The Virtual Challenge as well as the Sept. 7 race are organized by the Fredericksburg Area Running Club (FARC), and all proceeds benefit Rappahannock CASA, a nonprofit that trains local caring adults to serve as advocates for children who have been abused or neglected.
