Description
On January 17th, 10am-12pm we will be hosting a "Bridging The Dream...50 Years in the Making" Celebration event. We have secured Brother Moses; Greenfair Moses, an authority and purveyor of the speeches and sermons of Dr. King to speak at the event. Other noted community leaders will also contribute their own reflections on the life and work of Dr. King. BHFLC?s King Spirit Award will be presented to Rev. Lawrence A. Davies, who has embraced the teachings of Dr. King. He is the Former Mayor of the City of Fredericksburg (1976-1996) and current Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site). Additionally, awards for our MLK Jr. Poster Contest will be voted on and will be awarded during the ceremony.
