Since humans first set out exploring the seas, there has been an intense desire to answer the question of “Where am I?” Take a journey through time to explore the events that drove this desire, some of the people involved in creating the answers, and the math and science behind the many strategies for a solution. Presented by Dr. Alan Dean, Dahlgren Heritage Museum. Learn why the people at the Dahlgren Division, like mathematician Dr. Gladys West, focused on this question and their efforts to create a solution that met the challenging needs of the Navy past and present.
