Participants must attend ALL sessions:
- Monday, January 27, 2025 — 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (in-person)
- Wednesday, January 29, 2025 –5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (in-person)
- Monday, February 3, 2025 — 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (in-person)
- Tuesday, February 4, 2025 — 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (virtual)
- Wednesday, February 5, 2025 — 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (in-person)
- Wednesday, February 12, 2025 — 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (in-person)
- Thursday, February 20, 2025 — 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (swearing-in/court observation)

Fees/Admission
There is no fee, but each potential advocate must complete an application, sit for an interview and undergo background and Child Protective Services checks before training begins.

Description
You could be the champion that a foster child is looking for! If you're a good communicator and you have a heart for children, we invite you to apply to become a volunteer child advocate with Rappahannock CASA. Our advocates are appointed by area judges to thoroughly assess each child's circumstances, make recommendations to the court about services each child would benefit from and to ultimately advocate for each child's placement in a safe, loving home where they'll never be harmed again.
Our next training begins on Jan. 27, 2025, and over 7 sessions, we'll teach you how to use your skills to advocate for services that traumatized children need to heal. Please make sure you're available to attend each of the classes below -- and then reach out to us for an application.
