Sequestration Forum
Sequestration: the word strikes fear in the hearts of politicians, business owners, workers and DOD employees alike. How likely is it that Congress and the White House will fail to reach agreement on the budget benchmarks that will save us all from the drastic cuts we all fear? What are the likely impacts in 2013 and beyond, if Sequestration is invoked? What can we realistically do about it?
Speakers include:
Dr. Stephen Fuller - George Mason University
Congressman Rob Wittman - Armed Services Committee
Christine Singhass - Realty World Select
Dave Grover - Washington Square Associates
This forum will address the following issues:
- What is the atmosphere in Washington and what are the factors that may affect the likelihood of a budget agreement?
- What will the volume of Defense cuts be?
- Can we gauge the impact of Sequestration on Virginia businesses and employment?
- Is there anything we can do to avoid the threatened cutbacks and/or to prepare for Sequestration?
