Cybersecurity Analyst
SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst/System Administrator to join our team to perform cybersecurity services across the lifecycle of various DoD systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide cybersecurity and engineering design, development, installation, and lifecycle support for new and emerging technologies
- Provide Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support
- Utilize Special Technology for Engineering and Integration
Requirements:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Ability to work with System Administrators to identify security vulnerabilities
- Ability to conduct and evaluate ACAS/Nessus scans
- Ability to implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
- Experience in answering Access Controls for the NIST 800-53 control list
- Knowledge of and experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authority to Operate (ATO) process, including Assessment and Authorization (A&A) artifacts
- Experience with Windows and Linux
- 2-5 years of full-time related professional experience
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification or higher (i.e. Security+)
Preferred Skills & Experience:??
- Linux Certified
Education:??A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is preferred.
Clearance: An active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
