[SOFTW001861] Senior Software Developer **

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Senior Software Web Application Developer to support a complex telecommunications infrastructure modeling system. The system under development leverages a full stack development environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Propose software solutions to user needs within a telecommunications modeling system
• Performing full-stack web application development
• Provide subject matter expertise in support of system test events or during troubleshooting
• Performing code reviews and providing feedback for improvement
• Identifying deficiencies in unit test coverage and other process/system improvements
• Mentoring junior developers
• Identifying methods and processes to implement functionality within an Agile environment

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 10 or more years of experience with web development and microservices in an Agile environment
• Experience with at least four of the following technology areas/tools:
  1. C# / .NET Core
  2. Angular
  3. TypeScript
  4. SQL Server or other relational database with graph components
  5. Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS) and/or GitLab
  6. Jenkins
  7. Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and containerzation technologies such as Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  7. Elasticsearch
  8. Automated testing tools and processes used to support testing requirements including data, UI, load/performance, security, and contract testing
  9. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies or toolsets

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Security + Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hiring, SimV will pay for training and exam)
• Experience developing within the SAFe Agile framework
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Desire to innovate
• Ability to fail quickly and recover

Education:  BS in computer science or related discipline
