HR Manager
Matern Staffing is hiring a Human Resources Manager to support a specialized commercial construction company in King George, VA. The Human Resources Manager will provide strategic HR leadership across all divisions of the company. You’ll combine your excellent interpersonal skills and human resources experience to oversee policy development and implementation, recruitment, legal compliance, benefits, relations and more.
The Human Resources Manager will be someone the employees, leadership, and applicants trust to maintain their information and support them throughout their employment journey.
This is a direct hire position.
Salary:
- $120,000 - $140,000
Schedule:
- 8am-4:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Provides strategic HR leadership, guiding the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and services
- Oversees recruitment, selection, retention, and legal compliance, ensuring best practices in employment and safety
- Lead recruiting efforts, as well as new hire onboarding, orientation, and training of all division hourly and salaried employees
- Manages employee benefits, employee relations, and communication strategies to support a positive work environment
- Verify annual performance reviews are conducted and collaborate with department managers regarding employees’ goals, objectives, and performance plans
- Maintain accurate hiring, incentive, professional development, education, and leave records for all employees
- Coordinates employee events and initiatives to enhance team engagement
- Acts as a key member of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Team, collaborating with the ESOP Trustee, Third Party Administrator, and service providers
What You'll Need:
- Proven experience in human resources management, preferably in the construction or related industries
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance
- Experience working with ESOP programs is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the company
- Positive self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent time management, and prioritization skills
- Active listener who collaborates effectively with teammates, always ready to step in to help
- Strong computer skills
- Human Resource Certifications highly desired
