Business Services Representative
Position Overview:
The Business Services Representative is an operations and public relations professional who builds effective connections between private business and the workforce development system across the region. Coordinate business development activities with multiple localities and associated satellites including multi-disciplinary, multi-agency teams of public, private, educational, and community-based organization professional. Enhance employment and training opportunities within the sixteen jurisdictions (Accomack, Caroline, Essex, Fredericksburg City, King George, King & Queen, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, Northampton, Northumberland, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland) and increase placement of skilled employees with competitive employers – promote economic development through job retention and job creation. This includes assisting employers with training and promoting partnerships with workforce initiatives. The intent of this position is to enhance working relationships between the Bay Consortium Workforce Development Board and area businesses, economic developers, and the Virginia Career Works Partners. Position requires mobility across the region with an office base in the Virginia Career Works
