CNC Machine Operator
Matern Staffing is hiring a CNC Machine Operator at a wall barrier engineering and manufacturing facility in Spotsylvania, Va. The CNC Machine Operator runs the machine that processes wire materials used in fencing production.
As a CNC Machine Operator, your mechanical skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality help produce unique security solutions for the government, commercial, and private customers.
Salary:
- $19/hr
Schedule:
- 1st shift training Monday-Friday 7am-6pm
- Transition to 2nd shift - Monday–Saturday, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
What You'll Do:
- Operate and monitor wire processing and fencing production machinery
- Load wire materials into machines and ensure proper setup for production runs
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor machine performance and report operational or maintenance concerns
- Maintain production targets and efficiency goals
- Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
What You'll Need:
- Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred
- Experience working with wire, fencing, fabrication, or industrial equipment is a plus
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Ability to read measurements and follow production specifications
- Comfortable working around machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work throughout the shift
- Dependable with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
- Steel-toed boots required
