Juanita Shanks is the Founder and CEO of FailSafe-ERA, a Fredericksburg-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals and families impacted by incarceration. Inspired by her personal journey navigating the justice system with her late son, Mrs. Shanks has become a leading voice for advocacy, reform, and community restoration. A United States Army Veteran and retired Federal executive with 35 years of distinguished service, she has extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development. Mrs. Shanks launched the Hall of Change in 2023 to honor returning citizens as leaders of positive change. A certified John Maxwell Coach and Dr. Amen Brain Health Trainer, she is passionate about mental wellness and purposeful living. An accomplished author and recipient of numerous leadership awards, Mrs. Shanks continues to inspire transformation within her community and beyond.
