Hilldrup began in 1903 as a small operation serving the Fredericksburg community. Today, we are among the 3 largest agents for United Van Lines, the nation's largest and most respected van line. Under the leadership of Charles B. McDaniel beginning in 1940, followed by Charles G. McDaniel in 1976 and Charles W. McDaniel in 2006, we embody longevity, stability and a commitment of excellent to our employees and customers that is rare in the moving industry today.
With over 900 dedicated and passionate employees throughout our Washington, D.C. area headquarters and ten locations along the East Coast, Hilldrup offers corporate clients, government agencies and residential customers local, long distance, international and commercial moving and storage services. Our quality and training program is the most comprehensive in the industry, with a 10,000 sq. foot Center for Training and Employee Development containing a fully furnished two-bedroom house and moving van. Our certifications further differentiate us from our competition including ISO 9001:2015 certification, which ensures Hilldrup operates under the highest quality management practices in the industry.
