Description
Hitt Archaeology Center is hosting a ribbon cutting! Come out on Thursday, May 9th at 3pm for the ribbon cutting of the new Hitt Archaeology Center, located behind the Fort Germanna Visitor Center.
This new Center will be the site for our Germanna Archaeology program, where we will be cleaning and cataloging items found during archaeological excavations at two of our properties: Salubria, located in Stevensburg, Culpeper County, VA and the Fort Germanna site, located in Locust Grove, Orange County, VA. It will also serve as a space for engaging the community through programing and lectures.
The Germanna Foundation tells America’s story of liberty through the frontier experience of her settlers and descendants using archaeological, historical, and genealogical research and interpretation
