Benefits Coordinator
Matern Staffing is hiring a Benefits Coordinator (job id 3733) to support the HR team of a leading public utility organization.
As a Benefits Coordinator, you are an essential part of the HR team - assisting with benefits administration, leave processes, and employee questions while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with policies and regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and discretion to ensure accurate HR administration and a positive employee experience.
Salary:
- $25-$27/hr
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
What You'll Do: 
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, status changes, and terminations
- Maintain accurate benefits records and support audits and reporting
- Assist with FMLA/leave administration and open enrollment activities
- Coordinate with HR and payroll to ensure accurate deductions and compliance
- Respond to employee benefits questions and provide general HR support
What You'll Need:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- 1-3 years of related HR or benefits administration experience
- Exposure to FMLA or leave administration processes preferred
- Experience with HRIS or benefits administration systems a plus
- Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
