Community Conversation with Dr. Gaila Sims and Chef Joy Crump, moderated by Tramia Jackson, Director of Learning at Mount Vernon. The history of food provides an intimate glimpse into the lives, labor, and relationships of Fredericksburg residents, past and present. Food serves as an accessible, engaging entrance into the history of Fredericksburg, a city that has witnessed and actively participated in hundreds of years of regional, state, and national history.
