The Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) is pleased to announce the eighth annual Merry Trees exhibit in partnership with Fredericksburg City Public Schools. FAM’s gallery spaces will be filled with fourteen miniature trees decorated by second-grade students at Hugh Mercer and Lafayette Elementary Schools. In honor of FAM’s 2023 exhibit SEEN: Viewing the Work of African American Artists in Fredericksburg, VA, this year’s trees are inspired by books written and illustrated by African American authors and illustrators. FAM is excited to continue this celebration of art, literature, the holiday season, and Fredericksburg’s elementary students. Merry Trees will be on display at the FAM (907 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg, VA) from November 20th through December 23rd, 2023.
