Direct Support Professional (DSP) – King George, VA
iCare Health Solutions is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered care and daily living support to individuals in the King George area. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to helping others live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.
Position Overview
DSPs will support clients with developmental, intellectual, or physical needs by assisting with daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support medication reminders and basic health monitoring (as assigned)
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Encourage community participation and social engagement
- Document care activities and report changes in client condition
- Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous caregiving or DSP experience is a plus (not required)
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to pass required background checks and training
- Flexible shifts available (full-time, part-time, and PRN)
- Day, evening, and weekend options
