Senior Solutions Engineer

Matern Staffing is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer with a material handling company. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll lead engineering efforts for advanced warehouse and industrial automation systems within our Engineered Solutions team.  

Along the way you’ll support high-profile clients and work closely with leadership to design custom solutions that improve efficiency and drive innovation.  To ensure success as a Senior Solutions Engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of warehouse or industrial automation, a passion for building client relationships, and high-level communications skills.  

This is an office-based role with travel to client offices in Virginia and West Virginia.

What You’ll Do: 

• Lead high-level solution architecture and collaborate directly with clients to align solutions with business needs 
• Solve complex technical challenges with creative and customized automation designs 
• Manage cross-functional project teams, timelines, and deliverables for large-scale engineering initiatives 
• Contribute to strategic planning and collaborate with product and engineering teams on roadmap development 
• Support sales efforts with technical expertise and participate in key client meetings 
• Build trusted client relationships and serve as an ongoing consultant 
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies 
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, including mentorship and training 

What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field – OR – 10+ years of equivalent, relevant experience 
• Strong application engineering background in warehouse or industrial automation 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions 
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience 
• Willingness to travel as needed to support client projects
