Hilldrup began in 1903 as a small operation serving Fredericksburg. Today, we are one of the two largest agents for United Van Lines (UVL), the nation's largest and most respected van line. Under the leadership of Charles B. McDaniel starting in 1940, followed by Charles G. McDaniel in 1976, and Charles W. McDaniel in 2006, we embody longevity, stability, and an exceptional commitment to our employees and customers, a rarity in the moving industry today.

With over 750 dedicated and passionate employees across our Washington, D.C. area headquarters and ten locations along the East Coast, Hilldrup offers a full range of services to corporate clients, government agencies, and residential customers. These services include local, long-distance, international, and commercial moving and storage & logistics. Our quality and training program is the most comprehensive in the industry, featuring a 10,000 sq ft Center for Training and Employee Development, complete with a fully furnished two-bedroom house and a moving van. Our ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications further distinguish us, ensuring we adhere to the highest standards of quality and environmental management practices.
